After we had spent our Christmas with my boyfriend’s family in Tumut, we flew from Canberra to Gold Coast where we spent the New Years.
On New Years Eve we started our day with surfing and relaxing on the beach. We packed our things and went to Coolangatta Beach that is a 30 minute drive from the center of Surfers Paradise. The beach was really nice and it had a big lagoon in the middle of the beach. The beach wasn’t that good for surfing though because the current was so strong. We enjoyed the beach for four hours and then we drove home. After the beach we had some dinner and went shopping for some drinks for the evening.
In the evening we played some cards and chilled at our place and then headed to watch the fireworks to the Broad Beach. There were so many people and a good vibe. The music was playing and people were dancing on the sand. It reminded me a little bit of Bali’s sandbar in Canggu. Everybody counted until the clock hit 00:00 and the fireworks started going up to the sky. The fireworks were amazing and it felt so magical.
I had to say that I had a New Years that I’m never going to forget and it was the best New Years Eve so far.
